Package Overview

Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.

Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1

  • BAGDOGRA (IXB) AIRPORT – GANGTOK (5480 FT /135 KMS / 4.5 HRS)

  • On arrival at Bagdogra (IXB) Airport you will be received by our office executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok(capital city of Sikkim). Upon arrival proceed for check-in at hotel. The evening free for relaxation. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 2

  • GANGTOK - TSOMGO LAKE EXCURSION (12400 Ft / 3780 MTS / 43 KMS / 3 HRS)

  • After breakfast proceed for a full day excursion to Tsomgo Lake with an average depth of 50ft. spend a few blissful hours gazing at the absolute perfection of natural beauty at the Tsomgo lake and surrounding scenic view, further drive will take you to another holy site BABA MANDIR visit and return back to Gangtok. Overnight at Stay at Gangtok.

    Nathula Pass visit is subject to availability. We cannot guarantee the visit.

Day 3

  • GANGTOK – DARJEELING

  • After breakfast you will be transferred to Darjeeling. On the way sightseeing can be made. Check in to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4

  • DARJEELING SIGHTSEEING

  • Early morning at around 3:35 am drive to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak. On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery,Peace memorial & Batasia Loop. back to hotel for breakfast And freshen up. After breakfast proceed to full day city tour includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mounteering institute (closed on Thursday), Ropeway (Ticket on direct payment basis),Tensing Gumpa rock. Tibetan Refugee self help centre (closed on Sunday) ,Tea Estate (outer view), Natural History Museum (Sunday closed),Peace Pagoda. Back to hotel. Evening free to take a tiny work around Mall road – Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 5

  • DARJEELING - NJP STATION / BAGDOGRA (IXB) AIRPORT (105 KMS / 3-4 HRS)

  • After breakfast departure transfer to NJP Station / Bagdogra (IXB) Airport for your onward journeys.

Inclusions

  • Cost of personal nature expenses such as bottled water, laundry, incidentals, porter, tips etc.
  • Difference in cost arising due to extra usage of additional services, changes in taxes by Government or political unrest, natural calamities (Land slide/ road blockage) etc. in such case extra will have to be paid on the spot by guest.
  • Cost for anything which is not mentioned under “COST INCLUDES” Column.

Additional Info

The client is bound by the following terms and conditions regarding the payment policy associated with YOHO Travels and is expected to respect and adhere to them at all times. Advance payments, in certain cases, have to be made to ensure the efficient delivery of our travel services. The rules and regulations concerning the payment policy are mentioned below.

  • 45 days prior to departure – The customer will have to pay 25% of the package cost to ensure the confirmation of his booking. However, this payment has to be made by the customer 45 days prior to the departure of the journey. In case of issuance of flight and non-refundable services, the customer will have to deposit 100% advance to avail the mentioned services.
  • 30 to 44 days prior to departure – The customer is required to pay 50% of the package cost to ensure the confirmation of his booking, in cases where bookings are made 30 to 44 days prior to the departure. Issuance of flight and non-refundable services require the customer to deposit 100% advance to avail the services mentioned.
  • 16 to 29 days prior to departure – Bookings which are made by the customer 16 to 29 days prior to departure will require the customer to deposit 75% of the package cost to ensure the confirmation of his booking. For the issuance of flight and non-refundable services for the said time period, 100% advance needs to be deposited.
  • 15 days prior to departure – Customers who make bookings within 15 days or less prior to departure will have to bear 100% of the package cost for the confirmation of his booking.
  • Rates mentioned are valid on date of departure. The right to change this date is reserved with YOHO travels, depending on the seat availability status of the airline.
  • The rates hold true for a minimum of 2 adults who will be travelling together throughout the travel period. A Single room booking can be processed if accompanied with another Single room booking and/or a Twin room booking.
  • Credit card payment will draw an extra charge by 2.2%
  • Passengers are expected to pay the surcharges as and when applicable
  • A valid passport number is required for VISA processing. YOHO will not be responsible for VISA refusal
  • Passengers are expected to pay the surcharges as and when applicable
  • Extra charges will be levied for optional tours
  • Surcharges may be more than the packaging cost quoted at the time of booking
  • The rates quoted at the time of hotel accommodation and sightseeing will be subject to availability. YOHO reserves the right to change the hotel accommodation to an equal or better standard for a good experience of the passenger. Also, depending upon the upgradation, the charges may apply.
  • No cost EMI is subject to availability.
  • Price quoted are not valid when the Trade Fair period is ongoing.
  • Check in time for Domestic travel is 1200 hours and similarly, the checkout time is 1100 hours. Early check in or checkout is subject to availability and there is no guarantee for the same.
  • Transfers are exempted from night surcharges
  • For any unutilized service, there is no refund applicable.
  • All sightseeing is strictly based on local conditions like weather and no sightseeing will be cancelled without prior notice.
  • While YOHO travels will take care of your smooth experience in the tour, sudden changes might happen and in that case, YOHO travel will make the best possible alternate available on the tour days. No refund is given since such events are unforeseen and out of YOHO’s control.
  • Rates are subject to change without prior intimation and also for clients who travel during the weekends.
  • Offer validation can be made null and void without prior notice by YOHO
  • Confirmed bookings are subject to cancellation charges that will be advertised at the booking time.
  • The package does not consist of the tour manager services.
  • YOHO shall not be taking responsibility for changes in price due to factors not under control of YOHO.
  • Any unprecedented hike in fares by the airlines or hotel charges will be borne by the tourist.
  • The hotel and itinerary are subject to availability and confirmation by the hotel.
  • In case of hotels, transport costs, government taxes, the rates may differ from time to time.
  • Check in time is 1200 hours and check out time is 1100 hours noon. Changes in these times are subject to availability.
  • The mentioned flight and itinerary are subject to change.
  • Your personal belongings are your responsibility and the local operator will not be held responsible for any loss of personal property.
  • Date or time for tour may be changed by the local tour operator for a better plan.
  • Room types whether solo or double sharing is at the discretion of hotels and subject to availability.
  • By agreeing to the T&C between the client and the organization, or even by accepting these T&C, a contract is formulated between the client and the company which authorizes the company to reserve seats for you in groups which have been scheduled to travel on a specific date. Same is applicable for seats in hotels and airlines. Any change in your plans will lead to cancellation charges as per cancellation policy.

In all cases involving cancellation, the customer is expected to adhere to the terms & conditions as per YOHO cancellation policy. The amount of cost per package the customers are required to bear is determined by the number of days prior to departure. Mentioned below are the guidelines of the cancellation policy:

  • Cancellation taking place 45 or more days prior to departure – In cases where cancellation is made 45 days or more days prior to departure, the customer will have to bear 25% of the package cost which will be considered as a penalty.
  • Cancellation taking place 22 to 30 days prior to departure – In cases where cancellation is made 22 to 30 days prior to departure, the customer will have to incur 50% of the package cost as a form of penalty.
  • ancellation taking place 16 to 29 days prior to departure – In cases where cancellation is made 16 to 29 days prior to departure, the customer will have to bear 75% of the package cost as a penalty on cancellation.
  • Cancellation taking place 15 days prior to departure – In cases where cancellation is made 15 days prior to departure, the customer will have to bear 75% of the package cost which he will have to bear as a penalty.
  • For Cancellation of flight tickets – It should be remembered that YOHO Travels is not responsible for the cancellation of flight tickets, as the policies surrounding them are strictly governed by the cancellation policies of the respective airlines. Any service booked by the customer of a non-refundable nature will remain non-refundable irrespective of the cancellation stage, following which the customer will have to incur the full costs of the cancellation.
