Enjoy your breakfast and then set off for a full day South Island tour. South Island is home to some prominent attractions like the Trou Aux Cerfs, Grand Bassin and Chamarel, among others. Among these, the Trou Aux Cerfs draws tourists in large numbers and is a volcanic, dormant crater enveloped by a dense lush forest which is home to giant green pine trees and indigenous plant species. At Grand Bassin, be prepared for something unbelievable. Also called Ganga Talao, it represents the River Ganges of India and is one of the most prominent Hindu pilgrimage sites outside India.
The spiritual aura pervading this place really moves your heart and invokes a sense of nostalgia. At Chamarel (also called seven colored earth), another surprising face of nature awaits you. Here, the eyes meet scores of sand dunes belonging to seven distinct colors, a phenomenon which continues to intrigue both onlookers and geologists. After that, make your way towards the city of Curepipe, where you can shop for some souvenirs, handicrafts and other items local to the place.
Dinner is followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.
